I am currently on SDI since 06/09 and expect to be until approximately 12/30/09 due to upcoming treatment. I recieved a certified letter today from my employer of 6 1/2 years that my position has been eliminated due to the business being very slow. Do I file now for unemployment benefits (at least for the record) or wait until I am released by my physician to return to work before I can apply???
